Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the PuzzleBind Chrome extension and the puzzlebind.pages.dev website ("PuzzleBind", "we", "us") handle information. The short version: puzzle generation, previews and PDF export run entirely in your browser, and the only network request the extension ever makes on your behalf is the optional AI Theme Words feature described in Section 3.

1. Local-only processing

Sudoku, word search and maze generation, the live page preview, the KDP preflight checks and the PDF export all happen inside your browser. Your book title, author name, word lists, settings and the generated PDF are never uploaded to LightCube Labs or anyone else.

2. What we store on your device

PuzzleBind requests a single Chrome permission, storage, and uses it only to keep the following on your device:

• Pro activation status (whether Pro features are unlocked) and, if you entered one, your license key.
• Your preferences: trim size, puzzle mix, difficulty, book title and similar settings, plus any saved project presets.
• A local usage counter (books exported today) used only to enforce the free-tier limit.

This data is stored with Chrome's local extension storage and is never synced to a LightCube Labs server or shared with third parties.

3. The AI Theme Words feature (optional)

When you type a theme (for example "ocean animals") and click "Suggest words", PuzzleBind sends that theme text, and nothing else, to our API endpoint (a Cloudflare Worker operated by LightCube Labs), which forwards it to an AI language-model provider to produce a word list. The request contains no account identifier, no personal information and no other content from your book. We do not store the theme text or the returned words. If you configure your own API key in Advanced settings, the request goes directly from your browser to the provider you chose and never touches our endpoint. If you never use this feature, the extension makes no network requests at all; a built-in offline word bank is used instead.

4. No personal information, cookies, analytics or tracking

PuzzleBind does not ask for your name, email address or any other personal information. It sets no cookies and contains no analytics libraries, tracking pixels or telemetry. We cannot see how you use the extension.

5. Payments via Stripe

To upgrade to Pro you are sent to a checkout page hosted by Stripe, a third-party payment processor operating under its own privacy policy. PuzzleBind never sees or stores your card or billing details. After a successful payment Stripe redirects you to our success page, and the extension records only that Pro is active on this browser profile.

6. Website access

PuzzleBind does not read or modify the websites you visit. Its only content script runs on one page we control, puzzlebind.pages.dev/success, solely to detect that a checkout completed and activate Pro. No other site is accessed.

7. Data retention and deletion

Everything PuzzleBind stores lives in your browser. Remove the extension, or clear its site data in Chrome settings, and it is gone. LightCube Labs holds no copy.

8. Children

PuzzleBind is a publishing tool intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We knowingly collect no information from anyone.
